  I went to Dixie Quicks about 3 years ago and it was a HORRIBLE experience that I will never forget. I went with my mom because she heard about it and wanted to go. We went and I was absolutely unimpressed with their lunch/brunch menu. The only thing on the menu that sounded remotely good was the biscuits and gravy. I order the biscuits and gravy all to find out that they were OUT OF IT. Out of biscuits and gravy? Are you serious?
  
  I decided to do a omelette because I was starving and there was nothing else that sounded even kind of good. I'm not even a huge fan of omelettes, but ordered it anyways. The food took a LONG time, and then when it came it didn't look good at all. Was not impressed with anything about it.
  
  THEN as I am forcing myself to eat this food that I didn't want, the Manager starts SCREAMING at one of the waiters and fires him on the spot in front of a room full of diners!! I WAS SHOCKED. I have over 6 years Supervisory/Assistant Managerial experience and I know that that is NOT the way to fire someone. I once got reprimanded for verbally disciplining a worker in front of customers, and I wasn't even belligerent or hostile with the employee. This Manager SCREAMED at him in a room full of diners and fired him, absolutely unprofessional.
  
  That was enough for me. I stood up, told the Manager that it was rude to do that, told him I wasn't paying for the meal that I ate 4 bites of, and walked out. The Manager tried to apologize and say he'd give me a free meal for my troubles, so I told him where to stick his free meal and left.
  
  I think that the type of people who like this place like it because it was ON TV (oh gee whiz!)!! The people who like this place are the type of people who care WAY more about flash and reputation than actual substance or good food. If you want actual GOOD FOOD, there are plenty of other places with much better food that just aren't as flashy...

  So-so regular breakfast. I should have ordered a special as the basic 2 eggs, home fries, ham, and toast were mediocre at best. My eggs over hard had no salt or pepper, home fries were cold and flavorless, toast came soggy, and the ham was dry. The atmosphere is nice and the owners are super involved which is great. I will try it again sometime but order a special instead.

  we went for food and it was over priced to boot. The nachos we ordered were requested w/no beef. We figured they'd give us a deal on the price because all we ended up getting were chips on a plate with shredded cheese melted like molten plastic on top. A seven year old could make them better. GROSS
